The Barnes County North School District was formed when three schools reorganized in the fall of 2007.  The three schools were:  North Central of Barnes, Spiritwood Public School and Wimbledon-Courtenay School.

We moved into our new school building in November of 2013 and our total enrollment is 300 PreK through 12th grade students. Our new school is located 2 miles west of Leal, ND on Highway #9.
