Congratulations to Brooklyn Barclay for winning the 2023 BCN 7-12 Spelling Bee and to Ian Elston for placing 2nd. The winning word was thoroughbred. They will be representing BCN 7-12 at the Barnes County Spelling Bee on February 2nd in Valley City at 1pm at the HAC.
All after school practices and activities for today have been cancelled. Junior High Boys basketball practice tomorrow morning is cancelled as well.
Today’s JH Boys Basketball at BCN game against LaMoure/Litchville/Marion has been cancelled.
The Jamestown Starz Gymnastics Showteam will be performing at half-time of the boy's basketball game tonight against Carrington!

Support the Bisonettes! The Bisonettes dance team made it to nationals! The competition will be held in Orlando, Florida, March 3-5. All donations will be used to help fund the team's tickets, food, entry fee, and room & board.
Funds raised at a bake sale were recently donated to Sanford Children’s in honor of Ella. Ella’s mom, Heather, joined via phone to share Ella’s story to kick off Sanford’s Cares for Kids radiothon. We are so grateful to be surrounded by such a generous community, the care Ella received, and a positive outcome in her recovery!

Track and Field Asst. Coach – Sprints/ Hurdles/ Jumps
Provide instruction in skills and technique for the sprints, hurdles and jumps. Be able to work with and supervise athletes of all ability levels from grades 7 – 12 while offering constructive feedback during practice and competition. Coach will be expected to attend and manage Junior High and Varsity Track meets and additional duties as necessary. Must comply with all NDHSAA, conference, school and team policies.

The girls basketball game tonight at LaMoure will consist of only one game and that game will start at 6pm. There is no JV game, only a varsity game starting at 6pm.
A group of students recently attended Marketplace for Kids at VCSU. Marketplace for Kids provides a variety of experiential learning classes and activities to help students develop innovation, enhance personal development, and explore career options. Check out more pictures on our Facebook page!

BCN will be doing a half day of e-learning tomorrow due to deteriorating roads and the weather predicted for tomorrow. High School will attend from 8:30-12:00. They will follow the normal schedule and end after 4th hour. Elementary will not be zooming. Please check SeeSaw or Schoology for more information. There will be no after school activities. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
K-6 students participated in an hour of code event today. This one hour challenge focused on computer science in education. Grades 3-6 solved problems using Minecraft for Education and grades K-2 used their coding skills with Lego WeDo kits and Tynker Jr.
There will be NO morning practices tomorrow morning, Thurs. Dec. 22nd.
Boys' and Girls' practices tonight are cancelled. The boys basketball game scheduled for tomorrow vs. Oakes has been postponed to February 9th.
Bus route 5 (VC, Sanborn) is running behind and will be late.
