Barnes County North is currently searching for a head volleyball coach for the 2024 season. Preference is for a coach with prior head coaching experience (not mandatory) to lead the program while also developing the lower-level programs such as middle school and elementary. Interested candidates should contact JR Wilson BCN 7-12 Principal/AD with questions. Thank you to our Trimester 1 Reading Sponsors! Our peer leaders are eager to pick up volunteer hours for our local businesses. We are still looking for grades 1, 4, and 5 reading sponsors. Donations will go towards our "Access for All" mental health program, student-led projects (building a gaga pit), mentor/mentee activities, and more... We appreciate our local businesses!

There will be a player parent meeting for 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball this season. The meeting will take place November 30th at 5:30pm. Coach Steckler will provide all information pertaining to the season at this meeting. The first practice will be on December 7th.

This is a reminder that school will dismiss at 2:45 tomorrow. Buses will depart at 2:55 and parent teacher conferences will be held from 3pm-9pm. There is no school Friday.

The BCN elementary would like to recognize all first responders in our area for National First Responders’ Day which was on October 28th. The Kindness Club made cookies for our local fire departments & the sheriff’s department, and Mrs. Anderson’s counseling class made thank you notes and pictures. Thanks for all you do to make our communities safe! We appreciate you!!

As a result of the weather that has been hitting the western part of our area, Carrington and Griggs/Midkota will not be traveling to Oakes and will instead play in Glenfield at 3pm today. This will move up the BCN vs LLM match to 4:30 today. Again the BCN vs LLM match will start at 4:30pm in Oakes.
