Should the Barnes County North School District change the reorganization plan from a 9-member school board elected at-large to a 7-member school board elected at large? Polls and locations to be announced in late December.

Good evening! We would like to remind everyone that school and buses will run two hours late on November 13th due to professional development. There will be no breakfast served.
This is a reminder that school will dismiss early tomorrow. Elementary will dismiss at 2:35 and HS will dismiss at 2:40. Busses depart at 2:45 and parent teacher conferences will be held from 3pm-9pm. There is no school Friday or Monday.
Thank you volunteers for your hard work in setting up for our school book fair! The time, energy, and care you put into making this event so special is greatly appreciated! The book fair starts tomorrow!

ALL BCN Families and Community Members are invited to come shop the Book Fair starting this Friday, November 1st! It will run through Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 7th.
You can shop in person Nov. 1st, 4th, 5th, & 6th from 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and November 7th from 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Ian Elston attended his first Superintendent’s Student Cabinet Meeting on September 30th.
This cabinet serves as a forum for North Dakota students of different grade levels, backgrounds, cultures, and school sizes. Students are given the opportunity to share what is happening within their school districts and give input on where they believe improvements can be made. Ian shared that the most interesting part of the meeting was learning about flex scheduling as he hadn’t heard of it before. The part of the meeting he appreciated the most was being able to share input along with other schools. More information can be found at
