There will be a player parent meeting for 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball this season. The meeting will take place November 30th at 5:30pm. Coach Steckler will provide all information pertaining to the season at this meeting. The first practice will be on December 7th.

This is a reminder that school will dismiss at 2:45 tomorrow. Buses will depart at 2:55 and parent teacher conferences will be held from 3pm-9pm. There is no school Friday.

The BCN elementary would like to recognize all first responders in our area for National First Responders’ Day which was on October 28th. The Kindness Club made cookies for our local fire departments & the sheriff’s department, and Mrs. Anderson’s counseling class made thank you notes and pictures. Thanks for all you do to make our communities safe! We appreciate you!!

As a result of the weather that has been hitting the western part of our area, Carrington and Griggs/Midkota will not be traveling to Oakes and will instead play in Glenfield at 3pm today. This will move up the BCN vs LLM match to 4:30 today. Again the BCN vs LLM match will start at 4:30pm in Oakes.

Reminder: tomorrow Scherlings will be here for make-ups, retakes, class groups and the whole school picture. If your child is doing retakes, the original packet ordered needs to be brought in. Order forms were sent home for the class group pictures as well.
Kindness Club Hat Day Fundraiser
Elementary boys' basketball (grades 4-6) will begin tomorrow, Wednesday October 11th after school. Practice will go from 3:30 until 5:30 every day. Mrs. Amann will be coaching the boys this season. Please make sure they come to practice with a shirt, shorts, shoes, and a water bottle. There will be practice tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. You need to call 701-646-6202 or email bcn.transportation@mybcn.us by 1:00 on Wednesday 10/11/23 to let the office know that your child will not be riding the bus. If we do not hear from you your child will be sent home on the bus.

The JH volleyball game in Edgeley today will start at 5pm rather than 4:30pm.

As a result of having no coach in place for elementary boys' basketball, it is looking like we will need to postpone the season until spring. Postponing to spring may result in few or no games as most teams play in October-November. The first games are scheduled to be played next Monday and Tuesday, if no coach is in place by this Wednesday I will have to officially postpone and cancel all games scheduled for this fall.
